He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Brashears and Eva Brashears (Giles); his wife Betty Jo Boone; and his siblings, Don Brashears, Beth Gilreath and Glenda Morgan.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve (Brenda Brashears) and Mark Brashears; his sister Carol Robbins; his grandchildren, Rachel Rivers (Tharon), Renee Patrick, Deitrik Brashears, Christy Stephens (Ed) and Richard Matthews (Grace); and his great grandchildren, Kristen Reese (Hunter), Joseph Rivers, Bryce Patrick, Ethan Patrick, Mayah Brashears, Lauren LaCasse, Kaitlin Shields and Colton Stephens.
