He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charmaine Joy Moss Newby and Robert Eugene Newby; his children, Gina Scego (Cole) of Washington, Christy Davis (Ted) of Trego, Jamie Wynne (Yvette) of Springfield, Wyatt Lawson Newby of Mannford, Oklahoma, Donald Logan Newby of Mannford, Oklahoma, Robert Allen Newby of Mannford, Oklahoma and Cooper Joseph Newby of Mannford, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Ina Scego (Ona Scego), Eleanor Wynne of Springfield, Hanna Davis and Jacob Davis (Rebekah Davis); his great grandchild Noel Resch of Trego; and his siblings, Frances McAferty of Webb City, Missouri, Roger Newby (Twila) of Springfield Missouri, Genie Newby and Allen Newby. He was also cherished by friends and extended family.
