He was predeceased by: his wife Emilia Rivera; his son Angelo "Chinaman"; and his great grandchild Issac J. Santillan. He is survived by: his children, Diana Mendez, Aurea Ramos, Norma Nunez, Maria Roman-Taylor, Rosa Rivera, Gonzalo Roman Jr. and Jose Roman. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
