He was predeceased by: his sisters, Vera (Lewis Burton), Roy, Claude, Ruby Gowdy, Ella Gowdy, Louise Huss and Opal Johannes; and his son-in-law Richard Hill (Skip).
He is survived by: his daughters, Carole Brown and Kay Hill; his granddaughter Erin Thompson; his husband Shannon; his daughter Hailey; and his brother-in-law James Johannes.
He spent six years being her primary caregiver after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's which was a far different role than he had ever had to fill.
