She was predeceased by: her parents, George Herbert Shepard, Sr. and Bertha Fay Gabriel; her brother George Herbert Shepard, Jr.; her children, Howard Lee Hill, Jr., Michael Wayne Hill, Margaret Ann Smith, Sharon Elizabeth Baradell and Christy Lynn Bishop; her siblings, David Bryant Shepard, Ralph Edward Shepard, Richard and Mary Fay Shepard; her grandchildren, Renee Smith, Rachel Smith (David), Rebecca Baradell-Butler, Alexander Grissom, Deneka Sawyer, Michael Bishop and Christopher Bishop; her great grandchildren, Dakota Smith, Zoe Smith, Chloe Smith, Serenity Smith, Juliana Brown and Jessica Grayson; and her great great grandchildren, Vanessa Smith and Ayslinn Smith.
