She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Tom Wallace and Tressie O Howell Wallace; and her brothers, H. O. Wallace, Ausbin Wallace, Glenn Wallace and Roger Wallace.
She is survived by: her close friend Cecil Leroy "Rocky" Nelson; her children, Tommy Benson and Sherry Scarberry of Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Tommy Benson Jr., Khori Mandrell and Tesha Benson; and her sister Gertrude Brown (Margaret Hart).
