She was predeceased by: her sons, Jimmy Nowlin and Dennis Nowlin; her parents, Joe Johnson and Essie Johnson; and her siblings, Phyllis, William, Seaborn, Rachel, Lenora, Carolin and Joe.

She is survived by: her siblings, James, Roy, Jack, Finnis, Linda and Carla; and her children, Tammy Clouse, Travis Nowlin and Douglas Barker. She is also survived by her 10 grandkids and 15 great grandkids as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
