She was predeceased by: her parents, Lydia Hellbusch (Harms) and William Hellbusch; and her husband Raymond Smith. She is survived by: her cousin Henry Harms; her son Gary Smith; her daughter-in-law Becky; her son Kent Smith; her daughter-in-law Teresa; her son Brian Smith; her daughter-in-law Kathy; her son Randy Smith; her daughter-in-law Judy; and her grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Whitney James, Tammy Wiser, Cody Guthrie, Amy Smith (Mike Seekamp), Andrea Ridgway (Damian), Kevin Smith (Amanda), Brooke Smith, Heather Wheatley (Jeremy), Beth Smith, David Singleton, Pascale Simmons (Kyler), Reagan Smith and Riley Smith (Elizabeth). She is also survived by twenty-eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Raymond L. and Joan G. Smith Scholarship Fund at Oklahoma Baptist University, in loving memory of Joan G. Smith.
