He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis Harlen and Emma Lee Hohstadt; his brother Harlen Hohstadt; his daughter Linda Lou Lawson; and his grandson Mark Ricketts.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Joyce; his close friend Beckie Whittington; his children, Billy Don Hohstadt (Joyce) of Decatur, Texas and Mary Ann; and his son-in-law Billy Josefy of Grandfield, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Grandfield Ambulance Fund.
