He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie H. Hitt and Mary C. Hitt (Wollard); and his siblings, Lucille Reherman, Bus Hitt, Frank Hitt and Roy Hitt.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Wall; his children, Kathy Keener (Joe), Connie Sturgis (John) of Fayetteville, AR and Carl Hitt (Vernon Jones) of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Katina Roman (Jay) of Austin, TX, Kyle Keener (Stephanie), Kell Sturgis (Kerry) of Longmont, CO, Scott Sturgis of Fayetteville, AR and Shannon Sturgis of Brooklyn, NY; and his great grandchild Kayli Keener.
