He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Canaday and Viola Canaday; his wife Paula Ann Unruh; his daughters, Vilinda and Cheryl; his grandson C. J.; his stepfather Sam; and his siblings, Claudine, Ruth and Chuck.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth and Pat; his children, Leonard Jr. (Mary), Jessica (Curry), Delta and Treasa (Don); his grandchildren, Dallas, Cindy, Mellodie, Kristina, Kimberly, Charlie, Joseph, Amy, Amanda and Bubba; and his great grandchildren, Baylee, Cheyenne, Carmen, Liam, Aiden, Emma, Evan, Roper, Bentley, Wesley, Bruce, Derek and Eric.
