She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Bass and Myrtle Frances Farmer Thompson; and her siblings, Charles, Steve Thompson and Louise Davenport.

She is survived by: her husband William O. "Bill" Townsend; her children, James Potts (Tracie) of Ada and Angie Wildermuth (Kevin) of Weatherford, TX; her sisters, Bobbie Jo Fowler (Robby) of Virginia and Marion Thompson of Durant; and her granddaughter Erica Larson. She is also survived by grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
