It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Wayne Benson of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, born in Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Jackson and Delores Fern Benson (Scrutchfield); his brother Ron Benson; and his brother-in-law Dale Heiman. He is survived by: his wife Cheri Benson; his sons, Michael Wayne Benson (Hannah) and Christopher Douglas Benson; his grandchildren, Lindsey Givens (Johnny), Cole Benson (Callie), Joshua Benson (Autumn), Jordan Benson (Nicole), Jackson Benson and Josh Duncan (Nikki); his great grandchildren, Zoey Benson, Cooper Benson, Corbin Givens, Beckett Duncan, Bentley Duncan, Brynlee Duncan and Barryn Duncan; and his siblings, Jeff Benson (Becky) of St. Louis and Judy Heiman of Nashville, Illinois..
