He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl D. Shelton and Lois Shelton; and his sisters, Teka Woody and Shirley Albin. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lee Shelton; his sons, Dale (Carolyn), Donald (Kerri), Matt (Blair), Aaron and Stephen; his grandchildren, Brandon Shelton, Kaetlyn Saylers, Logan Shelton, Adyson Simmons, Ally, Adri, Tobias and Jonah Shelton; his great grandchild Ju Ju Simmons; and his siblings, Carol June Haines, Sandra Elaine Williams, Patrick Forest Shelton, Robert Dale Shelton and Donna Kay Dyches. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (410 W Chickasaw St, Lindsay, OK 73052).
