He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Lonnie Thomas and Billie Jean Thomas (Grigsby); his daughter Amanda Thomas Taylor; his siblings, Floyd Thomas, Sharon Owens, Tina Thomas, Dewayne Thomas and Meryl Thomas; and his grandsons, Michael Taylor Jr. and Nathan Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Kaye Thomas (Smith) of Lindsay, Oklahoma; his children, Sissy Springer, Jewel Thomas Foster of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Barbara Thomas of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jimmy Ray Jr.; his siblings, Darrell Thomas, Ruby White, Earl Thomas, Joey Thomas and Barbara Smith; his grandchildren, Aaron Foster, Nichole Thomas, Jeannie Taylor and Jimmy Ray III; and his great grandchildren, Phoenix Foster and Hayden Krantz.
