He is survived by: his son Michael Maston Sumpter; his siblings, Cathy (Archie Hassler) of Lindsay, Laura Montiel (Ed Blair) of Lindsay, Hazel (Frank Garrison) of Pauls Valley, Connie Cowley of Lindsay and George M. Sumpter III of Lindsay; and his stepfather Vernon Boettler of Sulphur. He is also survived by his 19 nieces and nephews, numerous other great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
