It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Walton of Lawton, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Walter departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Walter may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Walter leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Toney and Maggie Walton; and his wife Joyce Walton. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Walton, Michalla Walton and Trevaughn Walton (Christopher Walton Jr.); and his great grandchild Mai'Jay Walton.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whinery - Huddleston Funeral Service (6210 NW Cache Rd, Lawton, OK 73505). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service (6210 NW Cache Rd, Lawton, OK 73505). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Fort Sill National Cemetery (2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538).
