With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Utako Sanderson of Lawton, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 24, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Makiji Maekawa and Yoshino Maekawa; her husband Alton L. Sanderson; and her brothers, Minoru, Yasuo, Hiroshi, Tadao and Takashi Maekawa.

She is survived by: her daughter Sherrie Graves Underwood; and her brothers, Shiyunji Maekawa of Japan and Tatsumi Maekawa of Japan.
