He was predeceased by: his parents, Amil Winkelman and Helen Winkelman (Hunt); his parents-in-law, Donald and Nora Chrestensen; his uncle Byron Hunt; his brother Joel Burton; and his grandchild Byron O'Rourke.
He is survived by: his wife Nora (Chrestensen); his daughters, Tabitha Painter and Tanya Winkelman-Diamond (Jaren); his grandchildren, Kassandra Painter, Brady and Cayde Ellender; and his daughters, Tammy L and Amanda R Allison.
