He is survived by: his mother Florence Elkins (Russell); his sister Lisa Kiefer of Lawton; his niece Ashley Mallett (Cole); his great-nieces and great-nephews, August and Reece; his nephew Ryan Nix; his aunt Helen; his uncle Bill Shoemate; his cousin Jay Shoemate; and his son Christian Shoemate.

What happened to my friend Shane that i met at Lunch time while working in CCMH. back in 1992....All those visits to his home...His family took me to Branson and we saw Randy Travis.....Many years later i flew him to Ct via NYC for his b-day and he loved the Tall buildings.....I Remember having an affinity for Max as he kept his family going...I Will miss Max And Shaneyburger.
