He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex McDonald and Mary Lou McDonald (Weaver) of Lawton, Oklahoma; his wife Edna McDonald; and his brothers, Lawrence McDonald and Melvin Marshall.

He is survived by: his children, Ronald McDonald, Jr. of Lawton, Oklahoma and Marilyn Calvin (Calvin) of Duncan, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Julian Chaney of Los Angles, Darrin "Red" Chaney (Eva) of Las Vegas and Kathy Williams of Duncan, Oklahoma; his siblings, Michael Marshall of Lawton, Oklahoma and Kimberly Finley (Donnie) of Lawton, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Ronnie Doddles, Diamond Edwards, Precious Bookman, Ze'Toria Calvin and A'Ja Calvin. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
