He is survived by: his parents, Donald R. Vilbiss and Sylvia M. De Vilbiss (Finney); his son Donald Cody DeVilbiss of Nashville; his brother Melvin De Vilbiss (Victoria) of Magnolia; his niece Lisa De Vilbiss-Wells (Richard) of Honolulu; his nephew Christopher De Vilbiss of San Jose; and his stepgrandmother Gertie Jameson of Lamar. He is also survived by other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
