He was predeceased by: his father Carles R. Sowers, Sr.; and his brother Carles R. Sowers, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Bobbie Rhea Sowers (Womack); his significant other Betsy Jeffreys; his sister Carola Whicker; his niece Crystal Sowers; his great-niece Carrie DeMarrias; and his sister-in-law Patsy Glover. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles.
