She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Gorthy and Grace Burd Gorthy (Jones); her brother Merrit Burd (Jimmy); and her sons, Steven Gorthy and Kevin Gorthy.
She is survived by: her husband David Gorthy; her children, Elizabeth (Lorne) of Lawton, OK, Keith (Heather) of Willis, TX and Theresa (Cecil) of Lawton, OK.; her siblings, Kenneth C. Burd (Geraldine), Rosalie Mastropietro and William Burd; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Ashley, Dakota (Kenzi), Madisen, Kayla (Kristofer), Shane, Emma (James), Paul (Gunner) and Grace (Marcos); and her great grandchildren, Arya, Nehemiah and Atlas.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home (632 SW C Ave, Lawton, OK 73501).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
