She was predeceased by: her parents, Casper Cowger and Emma Cowger (Patch); her siblings, Viola Ruth Cowger Zeilor, Catherine Lola Cowger Shelkett, Bessie Gladys Cowger Cristy, William Henry Cowger, Raymond Cowger, Edward Lee Cowger and Jesse Whitfield Cowger; and her granddaughter Amber Michelle Shelkett Mallow.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Gene Shelkett (Sherry), Katie Hargrove (Jim), Debra Browder (Lynn), John Shelkett, Donna Shelkett and Alan Shelkett; and her brother Johnny Harold Cowger. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
