She was predeceased by: her parents, August Tischer and Klara Tischer; her siblings, Ilse Bergmann, Ruth Tang and Horst Tischer; and her husband Ralph H. Helms Sr..
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kasey Helms of Topeka, Kansas, Taylor Sloniker (Dennis) of Lawton, Oklahoma and Jace Cummings of Lawton; and her great grandchildren, Aubri of Lawton, Gunner of Lawton and Kase Sloniker of Lawton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whinery - Huddleston Funeral Service (6210 NW Cache Rd, Lawton, OK 73505). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service (6210 NW Cache Rd, Lawton, OK 73505). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Fort Sill National Cemetery (2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538).
