He was predeceased by: his parents, William Luther Stearns, Sr. and Clara Mae Stearns (Jeter); his significant other JoAnn Louise Stearns; and his brother William Luther Stearns, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Joni (Tony Bown) and Laura Phipps of Tennessee; his siblings, Daniel Stearns of Henrietta, Texas and Bettye; his brother-in-law Ron Watkins of Tallahassee, Florida; his grandchildren, Brayden Bown, Sarabeth Bown, Emmaleigh Bown, Maran Fairleigh (Shawn) and Bryce Phipps; and his great grandchildren, Lilah Bown, Addison Fairleigh and Jameson Fairleigh. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
