It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lanya Swanda in Lawton, Oklahoma, born in Carnegie, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Swanda and Dollie Swanda (Burton); her siblings, LaWana Swanda and Ronald Swanda; her siblings-in-law, Mike Graham, Jag Sodhi and Mary Joyce Swanda; and her great-niece Summer Lynn Swanda.
She is survived by: her siblings, Danny Swanda of Apache, OK, Lynda Sodhi of Apache, OK and LaNita Graham (Hank Newmark); and her nieces and nephews, Robert Swanda of Apache, OK, Kent Swanda (Tamey) of Apache, OK, Dayne Swanda (Nina) of Apache, OK, Rani Yadav-Ranjan (Rajiv) of San Jose, CA, Sonia Kohli (Sanjay) of Saint Paul, MN, Prince Sodhi (Kanwal) of Walnut Creek, CA, Gary Lynn Orrell (Shellie) of Shawnee, OK, Anita Thomasser of Jasper, MO and Thomas Sodhi (Tristen) of Cypress, TX. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family & friends.
