She was predeceased by: her parents, Shinjiro Mizutani and Hatsuko Mizutani; and her sister Miyoko Miller of California. She is survived by: her spouse Jackie E. Newport; her children, Jackie Newport Jr. (Takako) of Fukushima and Kathryn Newport-Dew, MD (John); and her granddaughter Kylie O'Briant. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
