He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Brown and Verna Brown; and his siblings, Brenda Lee, Herman Brown, Warren Brown and Robert Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Brown; his grandchildren, A. J. Knowles (Clovie) and Joseph McLendon III (Casey Wayne Knowles); and his sister Margie Blailock.
