She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alza Hurst and Lena Mae Hurst (Cobb); her husband James Earl Murphy, Sr.; her sons, John C. Murphy and James E. Murphy, Jr.; her brother Carl Hurst; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Beach and Ann Hurst.
She is survived by: her daughter Kendra Sue Rogers; her siblings, Wanda Beach, Ruth Trower, Donnie Hurst, James Hurst (Sharon), David Hurst (Marva), Jerry Hurst (Debra) and Ricky Hurst; and her sisters-in-law, Bobbie Hurst and Charlotte Leedy (Roger). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
