He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Mildred Jayne Spencer (Woosley); his wife Beverly Jo Spencer; his sisters, Peggy Lou Spencer and Norma Jean Craig; his daughter Robyn Smith (Mike Smith); and his grandson Jimmy Smith.

He is survived by: his daughters, Patti Colley (Tom) of Oklahoma City, Sherry Faust (David) of The Colony and Vickie Cloud (Jon) of Lawton; his grandchildren, Heather Donaho of Skiatook, Micah Garza (Gregory) of Lawton, Tiffany Hargett of The Colony, Jace Cloud (Hannah) of Dallas and Jeremy Faust (Stacy) of McKinney; his nephews, Ty Craig of Elizabethtown, Charles Grooms of Lawton and Randall Grooms of Edmond, Oklahoma.; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Caitlin, Alex, Dylan, Landry, Chloe, Clara, Judah and Abigail. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
