She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe LaRue and Ruth Ellen Rose (Dykes); and her husband Clarence Avery. She is survived by: her stepdaughter Jamie Tanner (Steve) of Lawton; her granddaughter Hayley Tanner; and her cousin Charles Wickwire (Carolyn).
