She is survived by: her husband Vernal Alonzo Hairston of Lawton, Oklahoma; her children, Faye Buchanan of Baltimore, Vera Mae Hairston, Amanda Moore, Avery Moore, Vernal Hairston, Jr., Tonya Lavon Driver and Greg Driver; her grandchildren, Latoya Buchanan of Glenburnie, Sherod Buchanan, Glenburnie MD, Jordan Moore, Hamilton Taylor, Chante Diaz Reyes, Ivelisse Hairston, Jeremiah Moore, Wesley Driver, Lawton Ok, Chanel Hairston and Nicholas Driver; her great grandchild Iris Diaz Reyes of Zephyrhills, FL; and her siblings, Ernistine Simmons, Edith Mason, Deborah Hairston, Golden Dickerson, John Hairston, Calvin Hairston, Jerome Hairston and Lorenzo Hairston. She is also survived by her siblings and her siblings children along with being a wife and mother.
