He was predeceased by: his parents, Berda C. Pierson and Houston; his sister Joan C.; and his parents-in-law, Bob and Geraldene Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his sister Sanfreda "Freiddi" Robinson; his sister-in-law Margie Young; his nieces and nephews, Bubba (Stacy Cain), Mark (Trish Cain), Crysti Brierton, Penny (Joe Lee), Marcy Young, Kendra (Donald Pauley), Brandi (Jim Phillips) and Cassie Young (Pat Cain); his brother-in-law Larry Cain; his brother Harold Allen "Sonny" Pierson; his stepson Chris Buttram; his brother-in-law Harold Robinson; and his nephew Larry Cain, Jr..
