He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandmother Mary Cromwell Potter; his children, James Max Sims II of Lawton, Mary Ann Tippens of Lawton and David Lee Sims of Ennis, Texas; his brothers, Terry Sims (Kathy), Blanchard and Gary Sims (Carmen) of Midland, TX; his brothers-in-law, Tommy Pitts (Co) of El Reno, OK and Roy Pitts (Carol) of Edmond, OK; his grandchildren, Tiffanie Tippens, Brad Neil, Chase Brazil, Tanner Sims, Tricia Sims, James Max Sims III, Robby Sims, Carly Sims and Landon Sims; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Neil, Parker Neil, Hazel Brazil and Serenity Montgomery; his parents, Q. C. Sims and Mary P. Sims; his wife Sally Sue Sims; his brother John Sims; and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Pitts and William Pitts. He was also cherished by one great grandson on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
