It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacqueline L. Chavis (Lawton, Oklahoma), who passed away on May 4, 2019, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Holmes and Janice Holmes (Broomfield); her grandparents, Abraham, Opal Roberson (Broomfield) and Robert Holmes; her former husband Eddie Dean Chavis; her grandson Anthony Chavis-Green; her aunts and uncles, Benny Broomfield, Tommy Broomfield, Arnold Broomfield, Terry Roberson, Ronald Roberson, Ronald Holmes, Edward Holmes, William "Bill" Broomfield, Ron Dorsett, Shirley Broomfield, Althea Roberson, Marcella Broomfield, Celeste Robinson, Hazel Broomfield, Dora Fuller and Cheryl Little; and her cousin Vernon Broomfield, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Ladominica Chavis of Lawton; her siblings, Vernon Holmes of Germany, Lesley Hobbs Monroe (Johnny) of Lawton, Andrea Encalade (Mederic) of Triangle, VA, Meria Hill (Greg) of Titusville, FL and Roselyn Holmes of Lawton; her grandson DeNicco Chavis of Lawton; her aunts, Glenda Broomfield, Rhonda Blue, Brenda Dorsett, Alice Faye Holmes and Jackie James (Jeffery); her grandmother Alice Carter Holmes of Highpoint; her uncles, Eddie D. Roberson and Vernon Broomfield, Sr; and her great-aunts, Christine Brown and Dollie Broomfield. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of loving friends.
