He is survived by: his wife Vivian Nelson-Traina; his daughter Rebecca Robinson (Mark Robinson); his goddaughter Jeanne Chody; his grandchildren, Jason Nelson (Allison Rolling), Justin Hawley and Chesla Henning; his great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Wyatt Nelson, Jamie Joe Hawley and Vivian "Baby Viv" Hawley; his son Jamie Paul Nelson; his uncle Warren Hall; his aunt Fran Hall; his brother Johnnie Ogletree; and also, Gary Hall, James Chapman, Michelle Niemczyk, Josh Hall, Starla, Ryan Barnes, Frankie Barnes, John Barnes, Carol, Mike Jack, Wendell Jr. and Debbie Barnes.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Cemetery (2201 NW Fort Sill Blvd, Lawton, OK 73507).
