He is survived by: his siblings, Steve (Josie) of Washington, Michael (Amanda) of Tennessee, Kyle (Deanna) of Texas, Janice (Donald) of Texas and Gladys (Timothy) of Texas; his nieces and nephews, Aaliyah, Dallas, Lauren, Amber, Kimberly (Renard), Keri (Andrew), Candace and Dammion; his great-niece Nyla; his uncle Earl; his cousins, Tomeika (Terry), Dionne, Claudette "Strip" (Howard), Carla (Tim), Jerry, Melanie, Bridgette, Carlos, Ronnie, Michael and Nate; his girlfriend Sheila Florez; his close friends, Kathy Christianson, Judy Ortega and Debbie Jones; his children, John Florez III, Carlos Florez, Demetria Jefferson and André Florez; and his grandchildren, Michael Porter, Kalob Porter and Zakia Weldon.
