We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Elmira Galmore Green (Lawton, Oklahoma), born in Middletown, Delaware. Though Elmira Galmore may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elmira Galmore touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Wilson and Jesse Lee Galmore; and her daughter Florence Cleary (Butterball). She is survived by: her sister Helen Galmore of Wilmington, DE.; her husband William Oliver Green, Sr.; and her daughters, Diane Galmore and Sheril Threatt. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Park Row (421 W 24th St, Chester, PA 19013).
