He is survived by: his children, Karen Butler Nichols (David), Shelly Butler and Edwin Gerard Butler; his grandchildren, Michael, Taylor, Austin (Mela) and Courtini; his sisters, Dorothy DeCuir and Annastine Duncan; his nieces, Barbara Davis, Marilyn DeCuir, Gloria DeCuir Robert, Henrietta DeCuir and Geraldine Jordan (Willie); his nephew Larry DeCuir (Betty); and his friend Nettie Ford. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
