She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pennington and Edith Pennington; her sister Ester Pennington (Joe Thorne); her son Jody Thorne; and her friend Udell Beauchamp (Bo).
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Bennett (Gary Bennett); her grandchild Shannon Little (Chris Little); her great grandchildren, Abigail Grace Little, Kyle Bennett and Diana South (Kenneth South); her stepson Larry Myles; and also Matthew South (Jami South).
In lieu of flowers, Dorothy would have wanted donations made to her church, First Presbyterian Church in Lawton.
