He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Franklin and Lillie Kate Stringer (Steelman); his son Gary Don; his daughter-in-law Christina Stringer; and his brother Billy Ray Stringer.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Stringer; his sons, Dale (Victoria) of Lawton, Brad Stringer of Lawton and Chad Stringer of Lawton; and his grandchildren, Cody Stringer (Vanessa), Kristi Bourassa (Danny), Justin Burk (Cheryl), Trenna Hutchin (Justin), Chase Stringer and Morgan Stringer. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
