He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Coleman Forbis and Dana Hensley Forbis; his former wife Madelyn Cox Forbis; his brother Desmond Elwood Forbis; and his grandparents, James Coleman Forbis (PaPa Jim) and Rosa Francis Adams Forbis (MaMa Fanny).
He is survived by: his wife Sue Forbis; his children, Rhonda Forbis Crawford (David), Steve Forbis, Michael Forbis (Donna) and Duane Scott Forbis (Tina); his stepdaughter Mindy Gentile (Bo); his brother Dewayne Forbis (Janan); his sister-in-law Sue Morgan Forbis; his nieces, Devonda Forbis Chronister (Scott), Nicole Forbis Sexton (Mike) and Natalie Forbis Hughes (Joey); his nephew Dawling J. Forbis (Diana); and his grandchildren, Brandon Hart (Lindsey), Lauren Hart Eichler (Brandon), Laci Forbis Hathcock (Zeke), Sami Stone (Luke), Kenzie Forbis, Dallon Forbis, Tré Gentile, Jana Forbis, Carson Forbis, Lawson Forbis and Greysen Forbis. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins and friends.
