He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles N. Echols and Myrtis Echols-Thomas (Waters) of Virginia; his sister Charlotte Cannaday; and his sisters-in-law, Lequita Shilling and Kay Pollock.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Kelli Renee Rogers (Wesley) of Goldsby and Scott Alan Echols of Avon, Colorado.; his brothers, James Echols (Sherry) of Moore and Leslie Echols (Peggy) of Arkansas; and his brother-in-law Rex Pollock (Carol) of Monroe, Georgia.. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
