He was predeceased by: his parents, James Guy Byrd and Katy Lenore Byrd (Marlar); and his siblings, Sterling, James Guy Jr., Marvin, Paul, Ima, Alma and Irene.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda; his son Kevin Byrd (Lorie); his granddaughters, Corrie and Emily of North Carolina; his brother Billy Byrd (Claudia) of Wetumka; and his stepchildren, Tina and Leslie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
