He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ralph Melvin, John E. Melvin and Marie Venable; and his great grandchild Kinley Renee Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Miss Melba Crittenden; his daughters, Sherrie Grimes of Lawton and LaTisha (Hans Eric Hansen); his brother Harold; his sister-in-law Phyllis Melvin of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Kathleen Griffin (Angie Griffin), Alexander Ryan Hensen (Cathleen Yacapraro) and Ashley Nichole (Clayton Williams); and his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Griffin and Rowan Williams. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
