He was predeceased by: his wife Jaunita Faye Ward; and his sisters, Margie Ann Davis and Carla Sue Patton. He is survived by: his daughters-in-law, Ronnie Ward, Sandy Ward of Duncan, OK, Donnie Ward and Janice Ward of Lawton; his daughter Anita Carol "Sissy" of Lawton; his son-in-law Jerry Brown of Lawton; his brother-in-law Bill Davis of Paris, TX; and his great grandchildren, Cassie Ward, Cami Ward, Caden Ward, Candace Ward, Joel Ward, Braden Brown, Wyatt Ward, Amalee Smith, Emery Ward, Axton Smith and Andersyn Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
