He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Ortega and Raquel Ortega; his former wife Isabell Ortiz; his brothers, Lacho and Rudy; his daughter Michelle; and his grandsons, Dallas, Dominic and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Yackeyonny; his children, Lupe Ostruske (Thomas) of Lawton, Rhonda Williams (Kenny) of Lawton and Kyle Chalepah of Houston; and his siblings, Oscar Ortega of Pico Rivera, Johnny Ortega (Lupe) of Gibert, Oralia Gamez of Gardenia, Ofelia Holguin (Jerry) of Plano and Pauline Ross of Riverside, California.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
