It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvie Cater Sr. of Lawton, Oklahoma, born in Lake Providence, Louisiana, who passed away on June 12, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Parham and Bertie Cater (Sandifer); his wife Eugenia Cater; his siblings, Wayman Cater, JJ Cater and Pamela Cater Davis; and his brother-in-law Jack Stewart.
He is survived by: his son Alvie L. Cater, II; his daughter-in-law Lori A. Cater of Shawnee, Kansas; his daughter Julie; his son-in-law Rocky Moore of Lawton, OK; his siblings, Jerry (Flora Cater), Bob (Sharon Cater) and Janice Cater Stewart; his grandchildren, Kelcie Elyzabeth Underwood (Jake), Madison Mary Cater, Abigail Anne Cater and Rocky Moore (Stephenie); and his great grandchildren, Elise Ryan Underwood, Mason Veach, Emily Veach and Jordana Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members.
